We take over Craft sites we didn't build, starting with an audit. We can work alongside your current team during the handoff. Most of the sites we look after came to us this way.
Craft site handoffs

Sometimes a site simply outgrows the setup it started with. Here's what that tends to look like.
Recognize three or more? Start with the audit.
We put what we find in writing, then fix the dangerous parts first.
Before we promise anything, we audit Craft, plugins, PHP, server, backups, security, and integrations. You keep the written findings, whether or not you hire us.
Urgent fixes come first, including the Craft queue: we clear the backlog, set it to run on its own, and add Watchtower, our queue-monitoring plugin.
We move hosting under management and set up push-to-deploy, monitored offsite backups, uptime monitoring, and the firewall. You hold your own licenses, domains, and accounts. That includes Google Search Console and analytics: you stay the owner, we get the access we need, and we verify indexing and sitemaps after cutover so search visibility does not fall off during the handoff.
You move onto a fixed monthly plan with an allowance of small changes. One email, one person who knows your site, no estimate attached.
None of this is exotic. It's what happens to any Craft site that goes a year or two without somebody responsible watching it.
"Siebird keeps our Craft site stable and secure, and they're quick to jump on anything we need."
We won't contact your current agency or developer without your go-ahead.
The audit document is yours whether you hire us or hand it to somebody else.

A big catalog, a slow site, and imports that wouldn't finish.
Yes, that's most of the sites we look after. Every handoff starts with a technical audit, so we know what we're taking on. If your current team is still around, we're glad to work with them.
Yes. Usually the Craft queue has stalled, so emails, cache clearing, and image jobs pile up. We clear the backlog, set the queue to run on its own, and add Watchtower to warn us early. Full fix: our guide to a stuck Craft queue →
The audit is a fixed fee, scoped to your site's size. You get written findings on versions, security, backups, performance, integrations, and code, with a prioritized fix list. If you continue with us, the fee comes off your first invoice.
No. Many first conversations start confidentially, and we won't contact your current provider without your say-so. When you're ready, we'll give you a list to request: hosting, repository, domain and DNS access, and your Craft license.
It happens, and it is usually recoverable. Your Craft license is yours and transfers through Craft's own console. Domains can be moved with registrar authorization. Worst case, we rebuild the deployment pipeline from the running site and database.
Your company should own the Search Console property. We get user access, not sole ownership. Before and after cutover we verify the production property, sitemap, and robots, and we watch Performance for a sudden drop in clicks and impressions. If the old vendor was the only owner, we help you reclaim it with DNS or a file on the live site. Full checklist: Switching agencies without losing Google traffic →
Yes. Start with URL Inspection, robots, sitemaps, and whether Search Console still points at the real production host. Many cliffs are handoff mistakes, not a reason to rebuild. Walkthrough: Switching agencies without losing Google traffic →
The audit takes three to five business days, and urgent fixes usually land in the first week or two. Full custody (hosting, deploys, backups, monitoring, firewall) is typically done inside three weeks. Unusual sites take longer.
Usually yes, and it's far cheaper than a rebuild. We regularly bring Craft 3 and Craft 4 sites to a supported version without redesigning. The audit tells us whether the upgrade path is clean or a rebuild makes more sense.
Yes. We can fix one broken thing, like a form that stopped sending, a site that went down, or a failed update, as a standalone engagement. Many of those turn into maintenance once the audit shows what else needs work.
Stabilizing the site is step one. These are the two things that come next.
Fixed monthly rate, a monthly allowance of small changes, and a team that answers. Where most handoffs land.
